"The Guardians of Sleep" Painting

What could be more interesting than doing what you like? Perhaps this is the answer to the question - why do I draw? Everyone who is interested in painting - whether an artist or a collector - has their own motives, their own interest. The artist has his own motivation to paint this picture. The collector has his own motivation to purchase it. In a sense, the painting is a point of intersection of the interests of these two people. The Internet has opened up huge opportunities. Being in one place on the planet, I can create works of art that may interest other people from other countries, on other continents. We live in an amazing time. The world is changing very fast. Let's say I was born in a country that no longer exists. Now I live in a country that probably has every chance of disappearing soon. The habitat is changing so fast that it simply cannot serve as a fulcrum, it cannot be a point of stability. At the same time, the practice of painting allows me to create balance within myself out of unstable external chaos, allows me to accept the surrounding changes more calmly and wisely. None of us - neither artists nor collectors - knows on which day death will strike us from the list of the living. But while we are alive, painting gives meaning to our lives. And this is not so little.
