About The Artwork

The statement "I want some more" from the famous book by Charles Dickens named "Oliver Twist" drove me to make a series of paintings where I see/define humans as Oliver Twist's and also based on Adam Smith's Theory of Human wants... I see some specific humans as having an increased "Oliver Twist" characteristic(myself included). I documented these friends and fellows of mine including myself in this series. This painting depicts a photographer named Okereke Nelson Sunday, who refers to himself as the "image maker". In this painting, he is seen to be in the process of capturing using a digital camera on a tripod. He teaches and guides someone beside him depicted in a surrealistic form using an expressive emoji head... He has big plans and goals which includes inspiring young and upcoming photographers and giving them the opportunities he never had.
