TV News, commercials, Kuleshovian montage. Brainwashing by fakery. Your presumptions. Their agenda. My warning. I am not so talented as to make people see what is not there. I am a humble, most limited Artist who can only show what is. Agendas and narratives permeate all broadcasts. Hateful stuff. Rather than being induced into emotion, hate, by hatefulness, find solace in indifference. Finely powdered chalk, element of Gesso (used as primer/undercoat/first layer of many fine-art oil paintings), mixed with oil-paint of walls and ceiling. Looks similar to household emulsion. Lowborn, lacking Luxury Beliefs, but not inverted snob. Orphaned, outcast, male, straight, white, capitalist (a tiny fish in a very big pond). In long term and friendly relationship. Irrelevant, pragmatic, singular, evolved, authentic, ironic, sardonic, sceptical. I realise some of these classifications could go against one. Definitely not intersected. Comparatively deprived early life, including exclusions, which has had life-long permanent effect. Not least in being grateful, for what I've got, and for any opportunities that I can both recognise and take. These themes within some of my works. Never faked a sarcasm too. Personally loyal to those who have tried or helped me. Rather than advance their own interests. And vice versa. What else is a man of honour to do? Really enjoy painting, sometimes.
