Sheila Daube is an abstract artist from Southern California. Influenced by the mid-century American School she also credits her years as a preschool teacher as fundamental to her art. "I've been trying to paint like a five year old for 10 years." Recently Daube has been experimenting with gold, silver and copper leaf combined with charcoal and powder pigments. Her work is found in private collections, been featured in national shows and is represented by Ashton Gallery in California.
