ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Painted with my signature bright colour scheme, this composition was inspired by a recent dream in which a beautiful horse came to visit me during my subconscious stroll in the beautiful Mugdock Country Park here in Scotland (not far from Glasgow). I used oil paints on a wooden panel laying down thick impasto pigments, which contrast in hue and sing vibrantly. Paint applied with both palette knife and flat brush build up a rich texture in this narrative piece. This most eye-catching work comes in a wooden floating frame.
