About The Artwork
This early 20th Century railroad depot was part of the Idaho & Washington Northern Railroad line which extended from McGuire's Idaho and Metaline Falls, WA. It was short lived and became part of the Milwaukee Road Railroad line. The depot in Rathdrum, ID still stands and is now a residence. The #31 locomotive in the painting was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1909. The locomotive was scrapped in the 1950's.
