"The Shape of The Phoenix" Painting

If there is such a thing as a 'normal' Artist, Jill is not it. She has a Maths degree from St Andrews University and a Masters in Leadership from the IOE. Jill has had zero art training since secondary school. However, what does have and has always had, is a fundamentally creative and curious mind, an eye for beauty and a total obsession with colour. Jill's long-term relationship with Mathematics is based on the satisfaction of the concrete and definite: things are right or they are wrong. Jill's love affair with Art fulfils het in entirely the opposite way: it is for nobody to say what's right and wrong, it is subjective and personal and anything goes. Jill believes that we all have creativity within us, and feels utterly privileged to have found a way to release and express hers. Jill's artwork is intuitive and unplanned. She lets her mind wander and gives in to total absent minded creativity whilst painting, often only realising what the inspiration is when seeing the final piece. Jill loves creating art which makes people look twice.
