About The Artwork
The inspiration for this painting came on a Transylvanian train journey, from an overheard conversation. "The shoshoi" is a mythical rabbit, known as a curse in Romania amongst the Roma people. They believe that if a rabbit makes their lair underneath the their house, it will suck down all their good luck. Therefore whenever they see it they will flee, leaving everything behind.
