The Silent Oracle (Symbolic Abstract with Magpie) Painting

I’ve always loved art, and in my final school year I chose it as one of my A Level subjects. After graduating, life led me in different directions — until painting returned to me as both a profession and a healing process. During a period of burnout, while on sick leave, art became my medicine. It offered a language for emotions I couldn’t express in words — painting became, and still is, my therapy. My work is a meditation on transformation — the quiet alchemy between stillness and movement, serenity and disruption. Through layered acrylics, shifting light, and tactile textures, I explore how color can carry emotion, memory, and meaning. Each piece becomes an abstract vessel for reflection, mystery, and change. Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, I create atmospheric and symbolic abstractions — emotional landscapes that invite viewers to pause, connect, and find their own sense of calm and curiosity. Based in Amsterdam, I continue to explore how painting can hold space for peace and presence in a complex world.
