About The Artwork
'The Snow Queen' by the fairytale writer, Hans Christian Andersen. The Disney movie, Frozen, is partly based on this fairytale. Growing up in Denmark, I listened to and read many of HCA's fairytales. 'The Snow Queen' is about love and redemption. It's about faith and innocence. It is also about gender and how unconditional love conquers erotic love and desire. The Snow Queen, aka desire, lives in all of us. I have added the word ETERNITY to the painting, as this word releases the innocent from desire.
