ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This soft, ethereal work is inspired by nostalgia, memory, and childhood. This painting is a part of a series of works that are a reflection on my personal childhood. They capture memories that have stuck with me into adulthood (listening to birds in the morning, staring endlessly at the sky, a scar that I can no longer find as an adult, trying to catch squirrels with my grandmother) and a feeling of nostalgia for home this spring. There is a longing for nature and gentleness that pervades each of these pieces. It is my intention for these paintings to help you remember a past version of yourself and show you how much you have grown and changed through the seasons.
