About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by photos that I took while returning home from the Art on the Green in Coeur D'Alene. It was a tough show-3 long days over 100 degrees, smoke filled sky and then a "wind event" that swept though Saturday night destroying artists work and tents. I happened to be protected by a tree and was fine. It was the most exhausting show I had ever done. I decided to spend the night in Spokane and drive home the next day. Got up early and walked along the river. The sky was still filled with smoke, but the effect on the river was haunting. ". The painting is signed, dated, varnished and ready to hang.
