About The Artwork

The symbol represents the union of the Light world and the Material world, of the masculine and the feminine principles. At the beginning of the Creation they both give birth to their first 4 children – the rulers of the 4 main directions of the material world, and to another 4 - for intermediate directions of the immaterial world (8 at all, the number of the Infinity and of the Manifested Universe-Mother). Except this the composition includes also a vertical dimension – the Time. By this way is possible to show the continuity of some universal symbols through the centuries - a circle, a cross, a star with 8 rays, a double spiral, a rhombus, images of the Goddess Mother and the Son - the Sun rider. The Geometry of Light has inspired two Bulgarian philosophers to create two other symbols. They both are based on the number 8: the Module figure of Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher, which is the basis of the Bulgarian Glagolitic alphabet (855g); the Oval cross of the Bogomils, followers of the teachings of Boyan the Magician, who first in Europe formulated the motto "Liberty, equality, fraternity - through love" and preached equality between people, between the males and the females. The composition combines objects that are emblematic for Bulgarian history:an artifact from the Chalcolithic necropolis of Varna (5500 B.C. - the oldest gold treasure in the world); a bronze head of the Thracian king Seuthes III and the symbol of his authority over the earthly and heavenly - the double ax-labris (330.B.H.); two caryatids and a bas-relief from the Tomb of Sveshtari (380 B.C); a plate of the Thracian Horseman (300 A.C); the Madara Horseman; a fragment of the palace in Pliska, the first Bulgarian capital, and a gold jewelry in the shape of a Cross-Elbetitsa from this time (681); the first letter ( I ) of the Glagolitic alphabet, created from Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher, studied in the Magnaure highschool in Constantinopol; the ring of priest Bogomil with the oval Cross and Elbetitsa, expressed the smooth transfusion between the Divine and Material energy; the church "Virgin Mary" in the Rila Monastery, whose stained glass windows depict the same oval Cross (1825); an icon of St. George – the Divine rider, who killed the Dragon of the Chaos; the church "Sveta Nedelya" in the city center of Sofia, built over the ruins of ancient Serdica; an icon of “The Virgin Mary Panagia” - the virgin birth of the Son- Jesus;... and the Eagle, symbol of the Sun, which is plunging to the Divine. The composition is based on the symbols of the Sacred Geometry. They speak to everyone.

The common concept of the paintings reflects the view of the artist, that the Light is an eternal image of THE ONE SINGLE CONSCIOUSNESS, what created everything according to the modern physics, the Christianity, the ancient religions. That's why symbolic interpretations of the Light present in all history - from the archaeological artefacts, through the Sacred geometry to the theories of science and philosophy. The paintings are devoted to the LIGHT and to the continuity of the LIGHT SYMBOLS through the centuries - from the Neolithic culture of the Great Mother, the Black Sea civilization 6000 BC, the Thracian and the Christian civilizations, up till now..."I am convinced that the mission of the art is RE-LIGIO - Religio according to the modern interpretation means recreating the bond between Man and Divine, recalling cherished our mission Hear-Now, the feeling of oneness with the other people, oneness with the Universe-Light. Our whole sacred heritage is illuminated by IT - because in the spiritual space of mankind the different religions are just different languages of Light and its interpretations through the ages!”
