About The Artwork
Continuing a series of paintings that begin as a collage of greeting cards, letters, diary entries, discarded work papers, recipes--this one includes a baseball card of Jason Giambi, for NY Yankees fans--envelopes, calendar pg., lists, a coupon, etc.--all the minutia of our lives that make up "the time of our lives". The collage is then mounted on canvas, sealed, and overpainted in acrylic and oils. Words embedded are "joy," "peace on earth," "Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace." The palette is blue, teal and purple. The painting has been given a satin varnish for protection; hanging hardware is included.
