ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is the view from the Spanish poet Lorca's room at La Huerta de San Vincente, just outside Granada. He was (is) a great poet murdered by Franco's fascist troops in August 1936. Two years before this he wrote one of his most powerful poems: "It was exactly five in the afternoon", a work full of foreboding with great lines such as: O white wall of Spain! O black bull of grief!
