Brazilian Painter and Jewelry Designer. I believe in art as a substantial form of expression and communication for the individual. I relate to the world through images. In my painting, color is the property that lighten, oil is my passion. In the drawings I explore the efficiency and practicality of colored pencils. It is a portable material, which I take with me in my travel bag, and I use it whenever the need faces me head on. Although the subject of my work may vary genuinely, colors and the female figure remains my constant theme. Based on the shapes, colors and symbologies that involve the female universe, I try to access the personal repertoire of each one, awakening sensations and feelings. The inspiration for my work comes from female subjectivity, modern art movements and my vast experience as a model that made me subvert the paradigms of beauty. Shadows with substances, striking colors, demystification and deconstruction about nudity and non-traditional forms, are present in my aesthetics and thematic. When I start a painting, I try to hear what that painting has to say, instead of forcing my preconceived notions of what it should be like. Creating for me does not represent a relaxation or emptying, sometimes it can even bring tensions to me, but it does represent an intensification of living. Conflict can be a condition for growth. Emptiness, absences, generate a desire to reach, to fill and that desire is what moves me.
