Descended from the Thirteenth Century Yeo's of Heanton Satchville,from the line of Sir William Yeo knighted for service to Hugh Courtnay, Garter Knight and Earl of Devon at the battle of Crecy, William was high Sheriff of Devon and married to Ellen Grenville. %20origins.htm %20Edward.htm Pastel Artist,inspired by Iona, plein air painter of seascapes and Marine art. Self taught,I discovered the ability to paint in Pastel while on a visit to the Hebridean Island of Iona, during the summer of 1997, in the croft where the Scottish colourist F. C. B Cadell painted. My personal relationship with Iona is inspired by the peace and romance of the place and of the vast ethereal beauty and luminosity within the landscape. Iona is the primary focus of my art. However I also painted for Wyfold Riding for the disabled annual calendar for 11 years featuring scenes along the river Thames, leading to Henley Royal Regatta pastel art.
