The beginning Painting

What was in the beginning? Mankind always wondered about how everything was created and who created everything. Who or what created the sky, the Earth, animals, plants and mankind itself? Numerous answers were given by religions and myths and in the fairly recent history by science. But it is still the oldest question without certain answer. Scientific community offered a theory called Big bang where they say it was nothing at the beginning and suddenly in a split second there was this rapid expansion of matter from a state of extremely high density and temperature which marked the origin of the universe. The Big bang, explosion of all explosions, beginning of everything. This painting ‘The Beginning’ represents this initial moment which supposed to bring us all here where we are now. We all exist because of this peculiar incident that happened so many millennia ago. Painting has golden paint surrounding the central circular explosion-like motif which represents richness of opportunity that can happen because of this single moment in history. This event used so much power and energy that even today causes the expansion of universe and despite expansion of universe and differences between all living beings we are all connected to this single event in history. This is our common ancestor. We, living beings and all stars and planets that are in the universe exist because of that. But this painting has dual meaning. It also represents an eye with bright pupil and iris expanding out of the iris area which signifies and illustrates Devine presence and focused supervision over all our deeds and activities. It observes with anger what we are capable of doing despite being offered the biggest present ever, life and existence. They say ‘eyes are the mirror of the soul’ and just looking and imagining what this eye is saying to us makes us wonder if this is what ‘the beginning’ was meant to bring into existence? I recently became interested in Quantum physics and I may say my interest is profound. I believed that in Quantum physics I can find the answer to this oldest question but instead of that I found out that there is no simple and single answer. The Big bang theory might be the most possible answer from scientifical point of view for now but it is also possible that religions were correct… This painting is the first in series of paintings that will be painted on this topic hence the title The beginning.
