Was born in Kanpur on 30th August 1976 Lived and received my education in Kanpur At present I am Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Painting, D G PG College, Kanpur I painted landscapes with water colours , then I also started using acrylics as they provided the liberty of procedure –they could also be used on canvas. Recently I have painted a series on Flowers with Acrylic colours. Previously I did pen and ink drawings inspired from ‘tribal masks’ of Bhopal and also did few drawings on ‘Crow Scare’ these sketches and drawings were exhibited in the Show – PERSONA in State Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow and ABC Art Gallery, Varanasi. Few Oil Paintings were also included in the show. I also have done few sketches with graphite pencil on handmade sheet depicting the hidden inner self of Womanhood. I painted a series on ‘Adventure of Consciousness’ discussing the thought of life and death and life after death. The series was shown in Art Entrance Gallery, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai I like painting landscapes and I chose to paint wild Flowers (the present series) because of their innocence, their austerity, their purity in opposition to the complexities of human demeanour AWARD: State Lalit Kala Akademi Award-2001, U P. Honoured by Commissioner, Nagar Nigam, Kanpur for wall Paintings done for Beautification of the City
