Özgür Aktaş, despite his primary focus on Graphic Design, engages in multiple approaches that encompass diverse subjects, techniques, and themes. Aktaş conveys his impressions and criticisms about life, including social and political contexts, by interpreting various techniques that sometimes manifest as a graphic design product like posters, other times as paintings, and occasionally as works of art. In this study, he intersects the techniques and possibilities of painting, sculpture, and printmaking art by bringing together layers composed of paint, surface, height, depth, and various materials. While reinterpreting classical masterpieces, he disrupts the primary material of the painting, constructing a new narrative. By altering the main substance of the original painting, he aims to disrupt the old order and challenge the traditional conventions. Although he partially retains the texture of the originals, he transforms and deconstructs them. Through deconstructing the original artwork, he also deconstructs the artistic and social conventions behind it, creating a new narrative born from the disagreement with the existing mold, silencing the original's voice, and giving it a new one. The text is in Turkish : ""Longing happens in such a way that it is as if there is a void in the middle of the world that makes everything meaningless; it comes and passes through the longing person like a section. When the longing hears this, it is as if he is looking at the whole world through a fog... Longing is the emptiness that pervades everything." It is from the Oruç Aruoba's book "Uzak"
