Biography I am Tarikoro Tamunofiri Henrietta, a Nigerian visual artist, born and raised in Nigeria. I discovered my passion for art at a young age and later chose to pursue it professionally, earning a degree in Fine and Industrial Arts from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. My work is deeply personal, often drawn from my emotions, memories, and lived experiences, as well as the imagined experiences of others. Through painting, I explore themes of vulnerability, reflection, and human connection, inviting viewers to step into the quiet world of my subjects and see parts of themselves mirrored there. For me, art is both expression and healing a lifelong journey of translating introspection into visual form, where every piece becomes a bridge between feeling and meaning. Artist Statement My work is a reflection of lived experience, emotion, and memory both my own and those I imagine in others. Each painting is an introspective journey, exploring themes of vulnerability, connection, and quiet reflection. Through my art, I seek to create a space where stillness speaks, where viewers can encounter fragments of their own stories, and where emotion finds form in color and texture.
