The land of green Painting

Miri Baruch is a contemporary artist working in abstract and figurative styles. Miri’s paintings are rooted in emotion, born from a fusion of color, movement, and texture. Each piece is given a color palette that reflects the inner atmosphere she wishes to express: vibrant hues, warm earthy tones, dramatic black and white, soft pastels, or sleek metallic shades. Texture forms an additional layer of depth in her work: sometimes delicate and soft, created with brushes and sponges, and at other times bold and forceful, when Miri uses rollers and palette knives that give the paint volume and a physical presence on the canvas. The emotions she conveys move across a wide spectrumת from calmness to emotional storms, from quiet serenity to expressive, surprising, and at times even bold statements. The emotional intention reaches the viewer, but the interpretation remains open, each person sees, feels, and understands differently. This is the magic of abstract art: it allows every observer to discover their own inner story. Many find within her works hidden figures and shapes, much like searching for forms in the cloud, and this is part of the visual and emotional experience her art evokes. Miri’s style is versatile and multi-layered: it shifts between abstract and figurative, and at times blends the two. In each piece, the materials, tools, and artistic decisions come to life, each creating a distinct imprint on the canvas, and together they tell a personal and evocative visual story. Miri has participated in 2 solo exhibitions and several group exhibitions in Israel, Italy, Madrid, and the USA. She was featured in the Gold List of top contemporary artists in International Art Market Magazine in October 2022 and in Capsules, an Australian publication. Miri received the Gold List International Award and a Certificate of Excellence for her unique artistic style and high-level technique in the contemporary art world. She was also honoured with the Special Mention Award in the 2022 Art Vue Foundation’s annual prize competition.
