About The Artwork

There are things scarier than what's depicted in horror films, and they lie within ourselves. What qualities poison your life? What are you trying to hide from? Look into the mirror of Lilith, and you'll see in it that which you fear. It speaks - don't run, for escape is futile anyway. It's like running in a dream when your legs turn to jelly. Breathe. Feel. Observe. Learn. Embrace change through gentleness, without violence against yourself. Your shadows are also you. There's no need to tear them away with force; apart from blood and tears, little good comes from it all. Instead, take that mirror in your hands and entertain the thought that everything is Light, and even Darkness serves it. Shadows are your great potential.

As a Kyrgyz woman from Central Asia, in an environment of absurd limitations and despotic authority, I find myself fighting for the right of self-expression. I capture moments, feelings and situations. My works are different in terms of the mood and technique, but utterly similar in one thing: they all tell a story of how it is important to be honest with yourself, especially when you live in an environment which pays no attention to art and artists, and at best wants to enroll you for entertainment or propaganda.   I am deeply interested in studying psychological aspects, social issues, and how our universe is structured. I believe in certain things that science cannot explain yet. My artworks are a reflection on a variety of topics, from societal injustice and existential contemplations on life and death to simple admiration of the nature around us. As a highly sensitive person, I explore different aspects of the world through the observation of feelings. For me art is spontaneity and endless adventure.
