ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My work is a therapeutic process of intuitively working with water media for healing purposes to create abstracted botanicals. Each piece is a meditation on a specific aspect of healing. The title of this piece comes from the bible, however its meaning is universal to anyone who has emerged whole after great suffering. There is a dualistic quality dancing in her work; a coupling of opposites showcasing human darkness and healing. She uses her creative practice as a therapeutic outlet for early childhood trauma. Andrea also works as Clinical Mental Health Counselor and advocate for trauma survivors.
