Tied Together Painting

Angie Sinclair’s current body of work is all about water. According to the artist, her modern impressionist style of painting is achieved through creating different textures and forms with innovative brush strokes, which are very loose, free, and dynamic. Her inspiration originally came from watching her children swim, both playfully and competitively. She was mesmerized by the way the water seemed to mystify the body and wanted to find a way to capture the interaction of water, body, and light. Sinclair’s painted canvases feature crisp blue-hued scenes of people skimming along water’s reflective surfaces. Hints of reflective colors skim across the canvas and cling closely to the figures
