Painting: Oil on Wood.
The figures seem to glide.Pearls and oysters seem to dance and expose themselves briefly. They stay clear and then fade away sometimes. Surrounded by a slumbering emptyness the painting experiences desires, expectations and dreams.
The main inspiration behind this painting was the extraordinairy and beautiful sea life. It translated quikly to a remarkably recognizable affiliation of our own body. Being a woman I always thought of a soft and gentle body. A body that is build to care, to sense, to pay attention and to be able to love.
Even in the way I paint. With slow brush strokes and light touches of paint I try to creature a lovable piece, a gentle and sensitive, even erotic piece, witout being vulgar or offensive.
