ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I began to sketch in this painting when the tomatoes were green, and by the time I had finished it, summer storms had toppled the entire plant. I wanted to capture the feeling of sitting in the humid mid-summer morning air, waiting for the sun to break the tree-line and scatter highlights across the garden. Painted area wraps to edge, where it becomes raw canvas. Can be mounted on deeper stretchers upon request.

Bodnar received her BA from Portland State University in Oregon and continues to maintain art connections on both the East and West coast, having shown work in Portland, Los Angeles, and New York City. She lives and works in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley.
