I live in Philadelphia Pa. I've been painting for over 50 years. For half of that time I used Egg Tempera for my paintings then changed to oils. I remember seeing the art in the Uffizi gallery in Florence Italy in 1974 and feeling overwhelmed. Seeing the paintings I always loved in real life had a profound effect on me. A painting in a book is a photograph and a painting in a museum is a painting. I closed all my art books for a few years.
