Ron Weisberg

I live in Philadelphia Pa. I've been painting for over 50 years.
For half of that time I used Egg Tempera for my paintings then changed to oils. I remember seeing the art in the Uffizi gallery in Florence Italy in 1974 and feeling overwhelmed. Seeing the paintings I always loved in real life had a profound effect on me. A painting in a book is a photograph and a painting in a museum is a painting. I closed all my art books for a few years.
Painting in a classical technique can be difficult and it takes a lot of time but I still love the process.

Graduated from Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts 1972 with a Bachelor's Degree.
Independent study of early Italian painting in Florence and Siena Italy.

I am represented in many private collections in America and England.
I been included in many group art shows here in the USA.
I've had solo exhibitions in Washington DC, New York City, Miami Florida and Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
