ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This painting is inspired by two scriptures  James 3: 4-5  and  proverbs 18:21.  In the book of James 3:4-5 the scripture likened the tongue as a rudder while proverbs 18:21 said that life and death is in the power of the tongue.  man has been given the power to create and steer his world with his words. As I paint this piece i aim to stir-up the viewer on the consciousness of LIFE AND DEATH, I want to depict a little bit of death with the fierce and scary look and also show life with the beautiful colours. Everything put together will give an ambiguous puzzle to fix , the inspiration came from the book of proverbs 18:21 which spoke about the extreme energy in the tongue "LIFE AND DEATH put together.
