Andreja Panič Omahna – Visual Artist Between Earth and Silence Andreja Panič Omahna is a Slovenian visual artist whose work explores the poetic tension between memory, architecture, and silence. Her sculptural paintings are created with natural earth, hand-shaped plaster, and raw materials that form rich, tactile surfaces—suggesting forgotten spaces, ancient portals, and sacred stillness. Through her ongoing series The Mysterious Past, Andreja investigates symbolic thresholds such as arches, sealed windows, and ruins—not as literal representations, but as emotional traces of time and transformation. Her artistic process is grounded in deep ecological awareness, using only natural pigments and earth to evoke authenticity, transience, and the silent strength of matter. With a background in classical painting (Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence) and early education at the Nordio Institute in Trieste, she brings a refined sensitivity to materiality, symbolism, and the spiritual dimension of form. Her visual language is influenced by archetypes, personal memory, and the quiet power of the unseen. Her work is not narrative—it invites contemplation. Each piece is a space of resonance, a threshold between presence and absence. Andreja lives and works in Lucija, Slovenia. After a creative pause, she returned to art during the pandemic and has since exhibited both independently and in collaboration, including a joint exhibition with her father, the self-taught artist Dušan Panič.
