Hermandrowning – multidisciplinary artist based in Vilnius, Lithuania –– The point of attention in creative process is the quest for new forms and a deformation of existent ones with an aim to render contemporary subject’s search of identity. –– Steady work in offices dealing with creative solutions and an observation of environment within them allowed me to form a certain conception about the relation between man and his environment, including other subjects. I see it mutating into a process of trade of abstractions and symbols, while the details of reality lying beyond become rejected, vanishing. Plot is constructed by using primitivistic shapes to describe mundane acts. In the workplace there are neither flowers or items, nor full bodies, a movie is described as work of a famous director whose name one is unable to recall, yet there was a car in it. Subject is like transparent and some surroundings are missing, visible body parts become emotionally distorted. –– Maneouvreing within these levels of experience with the practice of painting, making objects and creating music compositions I seek to find the boundaries where the details, part of reality begin to dissolve. Here the darkness and chaos prevalent within collective consciousness and arts, is replaced by visualising, storytelling the emptiness, a blank, a partial disappearance or removal. ––
