" Tribute to Van Gogh" Painting

Self-taught artist, I was born in Lima-Peru. I started in art when I was little, I copied photos, I made my doodles. As time went by, I realized that I didn't want to just draw things exactly as they appeared, I wanted to make my own interpretations, give free rein to my creativity, express my emotions. And so, after a while, I found my own style. I studied Business Administration and took several art workshops. My artwork is based on feminine nature: our vulnerability and fragility, as well as character, strength, and other aspects. I create my own interpretation of reality, the surreal, and the imaginary. Simple and minimalist characters express a lot to me: having a face divided like a mask, having no neck, and having the rest of the body with simple lines. For example, the face like a split mask represents that we are all hiding something (secrets, frustrations, pain, etc.) that we don't want to reveal. The head, separated from the body, without a neck, represents that the mind and heart often force us to choose different paths.
