ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"Trough My Hands" is the newest artwork from the series of original oil paintings " Life Sensations" by Ana D'Apuzzo. The painting is inspired with connection between human and nature and eternal questions : Who we are? and Where we go?. Ana D'Apuzzo lives and creates in her studio in famous Monte Verita high energized place which inspired this series of paintings. Monte Verità: "The place where our minds can reach up to the heavens..." Harald Szeemann Car Gustav Jung was one of the most important people who lived here and his thoughts inspired this painting: "In each of us there is another whom we do not know". Monte Verità (literally Hill of Truth) is a hill in Ascona (Swiss canton of Ticino), which has served as the site of many different Utopian and cultural events and communities since the beginning of the twentieth century. Anarchist physician Raphael Friedeberg moved to Ascona in 1904, attracting many other anarchists to the area. Artists and other famous people attracted to this hill included Hermann Hesse, Carl Jung, Erich Maria Remarque, Hugo Ball, Else Lasker-Schüler, Stefan George, Isadora Duncan, Carl Eugen Keel, Paul Klee etc. Energy of Monte Verita inspired this series of the paintings and all creative opus of Ana D'Apuzzo.
