About The Artwork

Tulip Love - Tulips Flowers Watercolor €380 Preview Options Edit This colorful and expressive tulips watercolor catches what flowers mean to me! Whenever winter leaves, spring takes over and tulips are my absolute favourite flowers as they are beautiful from beginning to the end. Even when they fade away they are still great beauties. I love this painting because is very loose, very soft and leaves enough room for imagination with its mixture of painting and drawing. 51x30 cm unframed, unmatted, signed on the front and back. Certificate of Authenticity. W&N, DS watercolors and very little ink on professional watercolor paper. Comes unframed, the frames and mats shown are just examples. Signed on the back with Certificate of Authenticity. (c) 2023 Gesa Reuter, all rights reserved. COLORS: Please be aware that monitors may show colors slightly different from reality, especially blues and greens. It is almost impossible to avoid that!

Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
