Most of my pictures are inspired by landscape and natural forms. A tumulus is an ancient burial site of which there are many in Sussex. Their inner chambers were looted in antiquity. This painting features a range of textures and techniques. It is unframed but varnished with edges painted and ready to hang.

My pictures are truly abstract in that they often start out a lot more detailed and figurative than they wind up. Landscapes, objects and figures get colors, forms and details abstracted from until I get an enigmatic image that I can live with.
