This painting is an abstract portrayal of a particular scene taken from nature. The motion and flight of two birds. The composition is simply a movement of four lines, they are not separate but joined to give the painting a sense of flow and movement ideally from left to right. The colour is also important- from dark to light, night into day. The painting is signed and dated and ready to hang.

Elliot Minor is an abstract artist based in London, UK. Having a keen interest in art and design, he did begin studies in Architecture and then moved into Fine Art. Art has always been a constant source of fascination and it is this prior mixing of his interests in design and architecture as well as his love for nature that feeds into his current artistic practice. ------------------------------ Both form and composition play an important role in the development of the work, and also repetitive linear patterns and lines feature regularly. Often the artworks exude reductive and minimal processes, and styles such as minimalism, hard-edge painting, and monochromatic painting act as a big influence. He also enjoys exploring the textural and materialistic aspects of painting. ------------------------------------------- Saatchi Art Curator Jessica McQueen, ‘One to Watch’- “Elliot Minor’s minimalist abstracts are rooted in nature. He draws inspiration from his rural environment and his architectural background, exploring the juxtaposition between the natural and the artificial and man-made. Elliot’s practice is about going back to the basics, using organic forms and simple compositions to explore larger moments. For him it is about conveying ideas and sensations and turning them into a specific artistic language.” ------- Elliot received a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the Manchester School of Art and studied architecture at the Manchester School of Architecture. He was shortlisted for the Threadneedle Prize for Painting and Sculpture in 2013 and exhibits his work frequently within the UK. His works can be found in private collections in Europe and the U.S, and also in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures department, University of Manchester. ---------- He is also an active member at Leamington Studio Artists. Until recently he held the position of Press Officer producing art related content for local publishing. -------------------------------------www.elliotminor-artwork.com
