ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Two Tornadoes" was inspired by an encounter I had in early spring of 2017, when a series of tornadoes swept through our property overnight causing major damage. The sheer dominant strength of the storm passing by, tearing up trees and rattling my home to it's foundation left a powerful impression that inspired this work. I chose a very wide format for the painting to suggest the open Texas landscape with a palatte that should be all too familiar to anyone who has experienced the blue and dark green glow of the sky during a great Texas thunderstorm.
