About The Artwork

Acrylic and paper collage on canvas, 2021. Research on peruvian families with german migration. It was made with photos of the family portraited. They traveled from Germany to the countryside near Arequipa, in southern Peru. The man in the picture worked in Günther & Tidow’s brewery in Peru. This work was presented at the exhibition "Wo kommst du wirklich her?" in 2021, which won a grant by the Senate department for Culture in Berlin, Germany. This painting was painted using many thin layers of acrylic on canvas to achieve transparence in colors, specially in the collage part, for which family photos where used.
