ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The story of ”Under Us” started with the color. I found the deep turquoise from this Russian company. It had a vibrant color changing from turquoise to deep blue and shimmering green (very hard to reproduce digitally). It reminded me about the underwater experience of diving and snorkeling. I started to paint jellyfishes. Later I added Octopuses and eels with their own stories and allegories. And I was moving into projections of individualism, the boundaries of free will, loneliness, and how we as individuals are just sea creatures. Going with the sea current and eventually getting flushed up on a beach somewhere… Please read the whole text about the projects here
