Unexpected Painting

From "Nostalgia" Series It had been 4 years since I last went to Buenos Aires to see my family (family, friends, loved ones). I spent a month eagerly waiting to go, and I fully enjoyed the 20 days I was there. When I returned, I painted this series. It was two months of yearning for those encounters that flew by, and who knows when they will happen again. As usual, I first paint, express on the canvas, and then realize what those images mean to me. I realize that the palette I chose represents the colors that come to mind when I think of the Río de la Plata. They are the colors of “mate”, earth, and the “hornero” bird. ----------- De la Serie "Nostalgia" Hacía 4 años que no iba a Buenos Aires, a ver a mi familia (familia, amigos, seres queridos). Pasé un mes esperando ansiosa por ir, disfruté al máximo los 20 días que estuve, y al regresar pinté esta serie. Fueron dos meses de añorar esos encuentros que se pasaron volando y quién sabe hasta cuándo no volverán a suceder. Como casi siempre, primero pinto, plasmo en la tela y luego me doy cuenta qué significan esas imágenes para mí. Me doy cuenta que la paleta que elegí son los colores que me vienen a la mente cuando pienso en el Río de la Plata. Son los colores del mate, de la tierra, del hornero (pájaro).
