ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I am a conceptual sculpture, installation, music and occasional video artist, taking inspiration from past personal experiences in combination with art, culture and music. A recurrent theme in my practice is a curious urge to find balance between the organised and the chaotic, using as an example, the melting effect to represent chaos and the square canvas to represent order. The initial idea came from an effort of balancing the left side of my brain, the chaotic side, with the right side, the orderly and more dominant side. This painting represents the change between solid to liquid form, a snapshot of the transition.
