ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have been interested in the cubist use of movement in Duchamp’s Nude descending a staircase and am trying to convey that in the subject matter of everyday Midwest living. More recently, as seen in this painting, I have been incorporating methods used by Mondrian and the futurist style.
