Jaclyn Mae was born in 1980 in the town of Okotoks, Alberta, Canada. With family roots tracing back to Groningen in the Netherlands, the Dutch affinity for art runs deep within and her passion for her craft is displayed in each piece that she has created. Jaclyn has sold several distinct paintings to corporations and private collectors alike throughout North America and is still actively working and creating new pieces while currently residing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Along with her creative force and the tireless attention she gives each piece, she also is a renowned purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Jaclyn has competed internationally and has won several tournaments. She continually finds inspirations for her art through her travels. Her brush strokes and flow are equally evident on a canvas as they are on the mats where she is also a respected teacher of the art. In all of its forms, art is embraced by Jaclyn at every turn and she is constantly striving to employ new techniques while staying true to her vision to achieve unique pieces that provoke both emotion and thought. Jaclyn has painted over 100 unique, one of a kind pieces, several of which have been commissioned by returning clientele. Only a small handful of her current works are still available for purchase.
