Harold Braggs creates abstractions of the surreal. These dreamscapes speak to the desires of man held as ideas that drive humanity, but are walled off by reality. He attempts to see the world as a child and paint the possibilities that life slowly steals from us. His high energy dry brush techniques and use of often contrasting colors create a visual language that always tells a story. Ironically, his work perfectly encapsulates our modern times-a mashed up world and the conflicts it causes, the incursion of knowledge that bombards us, and the anxiety that limited time imparts on us. It is in duality that he gives the viewer a choice to see what is or to see what could be.
