As Being born and brought up in the cosmopolitan city Mumbai I have witnessed constant migration from every part of India. It is city of dream and having an ownership house in this city is like you achieved everything in life. So, fulfil these dreams you can see constant construction going on almost all pockets. As a result, we can see over flowing trains, buses, roads, polluted air, unbearable heat, unpredicted monsoon etc have become a preoccupation of subjective & objective achievement in my works. This work is Mixed Media on canvas. I created the dense texture with White cement and local manufactured glue which carpenter use for furniture. The dense (layer by layer) texture is created with comb. As significant of cultural object. First, I mixed white cement and permanent glue in the bowl and then application on the canvas either with palate knife or metal square squeezy technique. Since white cement has tendency of quick drying the lines need to be created when the mixture is wet. After creating desired texture or lines I give 12 to 18 hours for drying. After it is dried thoroughly I apply two to three layers white Acrylic emulsion so that I get proper white textured surface. Once the base is prepared I paint with Artist Acrylic colours. In this entire process I don’t take help of any assistant. My works are basically contention of redefining urban space where I have to live and breathe. The act of painting is vertical and horizontal speaks itself an element of visual culture. Matter painting play a major role in my works. I do not loose the grip of vertical and horizontal placement of the space when I do space activation over the void canvas. My works mainly minimalistic approach of oriental culture. I am personally practicing Reiki healer and following silence with solitude with predefined urban space.

I am a citizen of India .I reside in a state Maharashtra in one of the suburbs of Mumbai which is called Virar. I completed my schooling and bachelor's collage education from Mumbai. Then after I went to M.S.University, Baroda which is in another state called Gujrat, for further studies. Being born and brought up near Mumbai I have been witnessing the constant development of this city. Every day thousand of people migrate from different parts of India and new buildings are constructed. Mumbai has become concrete jungle. thousand of labors give their energy to built somebody's dream home, but at the same time after completing the construction they move on in search of new job or work. Their fight for survival is never ending. This process of deeply impacted me..... I use White cement and glue to create the texture of lines. Mixing white cement with glue and apply on the canvas or paper gives me the similar experience of constructing or creating something. The rectangle , squares of different colors are symbols of compact and limited lifestyle of this city. I am certified Grand Master by Reiki India research Center Founded and run by Dr. Shamal Durve who is the first Reiki Grand master of India.
