Untitled Painting

The "Untitled" collection is a series of paintings that as a mirror does, reflects the image of the persons that stands in front of them. By using metallic paint, the colors and the light that it reflects, the painting shows every person a different image, one that is corrupted by what they want to se. Why? because our mind is aligned by society and we see in the mirror things that are simple social structures which are not necessarily real. In this way everyone has their own reality or in other words their own notion of what is "real" in the world. The metallic paint with the circular canvas are just mediums to reflect the world we are in, as the circle in many cultures and religions is the infinity, the whole universe while everything out of it is emptiness and obscurity. About technicalities, it was painted with airbrush which gives thee canvas a rough texture on the touch but a delicate sense of softness at the distance. The image painted is a selfportrait taken from a photograph took in front of a metallic surface.
