I paint with passion and love. My goal as a painter is to leave an impression with the viewer. I naturally gravitate to painting the human and I often choose to focus on the female. I aim to express feelings through face, eyes or body posture. I only paint in oil as I see that to be the purest medium that gives most freedom to convey what I want to portray. Painting in oil naturally demand more time and a focused engagement. I experiment merging this strict figurative focus with a spontaneous, abstract expression, Where I go from fine, structured brushstrokes to using a quick, rough palette knife technique, bringing forth textures. I also like to join the outer limits in my colour use. From strong, primary colours to soft pastel tones, looking to find alluring combinations. I have education in Illustration and completed courses in drawing and painting both from Oslo, Norway and London. In 2016 a spent a little time learning with former professor and master painter, Jan Valentin Sæter. Mostly regarding painting in oils, I am self-taught.
