About The Artwork

This big colorful and expressive flower watercolor is about the beauty of tulips and the power that these flowers have. Also, we are in living in times where things are turned upside down and this painting can teach you to look at things in a different way. 46x61 cm, W&N/DS watercolors and little metal pigments on professional Arches 300g watercolor paper. The metal pigments can shine when hit by light, just as sunlight does! Comes unframed, the frames and mats shown are just examples. Signed on the front and back with Certificate of Authenticity. Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
