“I tend to mix reality and experience with fantasy, blending deep blue memories with orange hopes and violet dreams, red reflecting my passion for life, relying on the detours and contours of my journey to add layers and texture. My paintings are spontaneous flows of emotion let loose on canvas, with my palette knife channeling my mood and perceptions of the moment. They are my refuge and form of expression when words fail me.” Patricia Saada Baumann, born and raised in Lebanon, discovered her love for art at a young age however, turmoil in her country forced her to take a different direction pushing art aside for many years. Leaving her war-torn country, she lived in France, Italy, the UK, and currently resides in the US. It is in Dallas that she was able to reconnect with her passion for art and fulfill her childhood dream. Patricia’s journey enriched her artistic sensitivity with the beauty of the multiple cultures she embraced. Abstract painting allows her to intuitively project onto canvas her emotional reflections with a touch of nostalgia, bridging her past and present with continued self-discovery. She works with oils and acrylics and loves experimenting with new forms of media to create texture.
